Abigail Gampel is an artist, actress, painter, mother, daughter, and wife born and raised in NYC. Some of her acting credits include: Stacey in Clare Barron’s “Solar Plexus” as part of The Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Marathon of One-Acts. Julie in "Showboat" at The Gateway Playhouse. Jayne Mansfield in Carson Kreitzer's "Dead Wait" as well as Virginia Hill in her “Flesh and the Desert” for SPF. Elektra in Ruth Margraff's "Elektra Fugues" and Alice Russell in the Rock n Roll Musical “Lizzie Borden” both at the HERE Arts Center. She has created 5 solo shows around her character The Underground Goddess, and played them at The Public, The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, HERE, The Westbank and The Ensemble Studio Theatre - Her 6th Solo; “Through The Window”- an existential dance inside the loneliness, and wonderment of new motherhood. Her 2nd Solo painting and Drawing exhibit Summertime just opened on Thursday 6.27.
